the coaster project

description ::
A not-for-profit advertising project that quite literally serves its
community, on beverage coasters. The project gives artists a forum to showcase their talents by designing drink coasters promoting local nonprofit community organizations.

founding :: David Miessler-Kubanek and Andy Stoll

director: Zach Hoyt

how it encourages creativity :: Encourages artists to share their talents and challenges sometimes seemingly disparate groups (artists, nonprofits, food and drink establishments) to come together and share both our needs and abilities with others in an effective manner.

how it encourages service :: the Coaster Project gives the public immediate access to art and services available in the community through a simple and common delivery device, the beverage coaster.

fast facts ::

  • provides creative and professional outlets for artists to design the coaster tops
  • publicizes key information about local non-profit organizations in the art and through contact information on the coaster's backs.
